Our
final inquiry learning newsletter for 2009 will
outline some of the ways our inquiry may impact
on the future.
The purpose of
the ‘In the Future’ phase of the
inquiry learning cycle is to evaluate what has
been achieved and decide if the project needs
more work.
The evaluation will include reflection
on the process of inquiry learning and the skills
that are being developed as part of this process..

Evaluations may be completed as individuals
but will very often contribute to a whole class
or group evaluation. With teacher guidance questions
such as;
Did I achieve what I wanted to?
Did I answer my question/s?
What have I learned and what do I need
to learn now?
Does my chosen audience find my information
clear, concise and easy to follow?
Have I made the appropriate acknowledgements
and listed my sources?
What would I do differently?
What do other people think of the project? |
Taking
Action
Taking action can be a wonderful result
of reflection and evaluation. This is when the
inquiry learning cycle lends itself to moving
beyond the classroom. The action may be a small,
easily achievable action or something more major.
It really depends on the topic of study. You may
have noticed some ways in which you are able to
take action at home now that your child has told
you about their inquiry.
Thank you to
all our school community that gets involved in
our learning - we are blessed by your contributions!
