Dear Parents / Caregivers
Nga mihi nui ki a koutou

Sorry the weather wasn’t the best last Thursday for our Feast Day and that we didn’t make it out to Bledisloe Park. We went to mass instead where we welcomed our new children who started this year and their families, Mr Davidson our new teacher and our new priests, Father Chris and Father Des. The children also enjoyed an ice-block each to celebrate our special day.

Orderliness is being neat and living with a sense of harmony.
It is having a place for things you use and keeping them there so that you can use them whenever you need to.
It means planning something so that it works.
Being orderly makes it easier to accomplish things.

We practise orderliness when we:
have a place to put things
put things away in the same place when we finish using them
have a plan before we start any job
solve problems step by step

Our Lady of Lourdes Feast Day

3 Way Conferences
Allocated appointment times have come home today with this newsletter. These conferences will be held in the hall. I ask you to please keep to your appointment times which are for a maximum of 10 minutes each. Please note also that they are for parent, teacher and child.

Early Finish Time
Our parent/teacher/student conferences begin at 2pm on Thursday, February 25 so please arrange for your child to be collected by 2pm at the latest that day. Children may go home at the start of lunch which is 1.20pm if that is more convenient

Relief Cleaner
We are looking for someone to clean our school from 2.30-4.30 each day from March 2 - March 11. Please see Jacinta if you are interested in this paid position or know of someone.

Stationery
Still a few to return their stationery lists with updated contact details. Your early attention to this would be appreciated. BOT elections are being held shortly and we need to make sure that we have your correct address

Board Of Trustees Meeting
Our first Board Of Trustees meeting for the year is on Wednesday, February 24 at 7.15pm. As it is board election year we invite you to come along to this meeting to see whether you might be interested in becoming a member of our Board. Our meetings are kept to within an hour and we are a great team to work with. Becoming a board member is a great way to find out more about the workings of our school.
If you can’t make this meeting and are interested please come and have a chat with me or any one of the BOT.

First Holy Communion
