Dear
Parents / Caregivers
Nga mihi nui ki a koutou
This
week our prayers go out to all those affected by the tragic
events occurring in Japan. Coming just after the Christchurch
earthquake, it makes us realise how precious life and
family are and reminds us to make the most of each day.
Don’t put off doing all those things you have planned
or dreamed of as you never know what is around the corner.
Enjoy
your week, Jacinta Cousins
, Principal
"
Steadfastness "
Steadfastness
is being steady and dependable, sticking with
something no matter what. Steadfastness
is being faithful and purposeful.
It is remaining true to someone or something
in spite of any tests or obstacles that appear
to stop you.
When you are steadfast,
you commit yourself to something for however
long it may take.
We practise
steadfastness
when we: decide
to commit pace
ourselves take
it one step at a time, remaining steady stand
by friends and loved ones

In
the second week of Lent the readings focus on
God's call. Abraham is called to leave the security
of home and venture forth to share in
God's word for it: no road map, no travelogue,
and no reservations. He has only the promise that
God will bless him and all families of the
earth because of him.
May we trust more in God's call and plan and walk
with him each day.
