"
Humility "
When
you are humble,
you consider yourself more important than
other people.
You are happy to serve others and think other
people’s needs are important.
When you are humble
you don’t criticize others.
You admit mistakes and learn from them.
We practise
humility
when we: respect
what each person contributes learn
from our mistakes ask
for help when we need it do
our best job and not try to impress anyone are
thankful instead of boastful

"I
am the light of the world"
The readings focus on conversion from darkness
to light. Paul reminds his community that before
they knew Christ, they lived in the darkness of
sin. But now that they know Jesus they must live
as children of the light, doing what is good,
right and honest.
Furthermore, in the Gospel, the story begins with
the healing of a blind man. He receives both physical
and spiritual sight. Prayer
Saving God, you sent Jesus to wash away our sins
and help us to see things your way. Do not let
our hearts go blind and forget to love others
as we should..

Colgate
Carton Race
Our school is competing to win a share of $60,000
worth of new sports gear.
It’s part of a campaign called the Awesome
Colgate Carton race and the winning schools simply
have to collect the most Colgate toothpaste cartons
per pupil.
So we’re asking everyone to raid their bathrooms
and check their recycling bins, ask your friends,
family, even neighbours.
Every carton counts, so please do whatever you can
to help us win!
Start bringing them in now. We will have a big carton
in Room 1 to put them into.
The competition closes June 30, 2011.
