Dear
Parents / Caregivers
Nga mihi nui ki a koutou
Thank
you to those parents who came along to our numeracy parent
evening last Tuesday. It is always a worry for us that
we organise these events for our parents and nobody turns
up!!
Thank you also for ensuring your child is in their correct
winter uniform. We pride ourselves on our students looking
smart and tidy to represent our school as I’m sure
you do too..

"
Modesty - Whaka-mowai "
Modesty
is having self respect.
When you practice modesty,
you are not showy or boastful. Modesty comes when you have
self-acceptance and quiet pride. Modesty is to value yourself
and to have a sense of respectful privacy
about your body. Modesty is also about accepting
praise with humility and gratitude. .
We
practise modesty when we:
are comfortable being who we are respect
ourselves do
not permit anyone to abuse our body set
boundaries about our right to privacy dress
in a way that feels right to us

First

This Sunday 2nd May we celebrate First Eucharist
at 10a.m. Mass. Traditionally each year we ask the
parents/caregivers of those who made their First
Eucharist the previous year to please come along
and help with setting up or serving or cleaning
up this year’s breakfast for the First Eucharist
children. If you are able to come along and offer
your help this would be greatly appreciated. Ring
the school office and leave your contact details
before 9a.m. Friday morning.
Cross
Country
This year we would like to be able to offer some
extra training for competitive cross country to
our potential Year 5 & 6 runners. We intend
the training to take place outside of school hours
and are looking for a member of our school community
to lead this coaching/training. If you would like
to know more or offer your services please contact
Jody Hayes or Jacinta Cousins.
