" Helpfulness "

Helpfulness is being of service to someone.
When you are being helpful you do useful things that make a difference .
Helpfulness can be doing something that others cannot do for themselves, things they don’t have time to do, or just little things that make life easier.

We practise Helpfulness when we:
notice when someone needs help
do a service without being asked
listen to someone who needs to talk
ask for help when we need it

This weeks recipients are:

The Gospel parable of the Good Shepherd focuses on hearing and recognising the voice of God. Those who seek honestly will recognise in Jesus the voice of God and will follow because Jesus, the Good Shepherd, will lead then to " a full and happy life."
Loving Lord, you sent Jesus to give us real life - your life. Because we belong to you, help us live as your children and follow Jesus by loving others and caring for those who need help.!

School Trip
This Friday, May 13, the whole school, is going on a trip to visit the Aquarium in Napier. We will be travelling by bus leaving school at 9am and returning by 5pm.
Children will need a substantial lunch, a drink and must have their jerseys and school jackets (if they have one) with them. They will be in their full school uniform.
Thank you to those of you who offered to come along and help supervise. Because we had an over abundance of offers, I had to do a draw. Those successful people will be contacted shortly.

A reminder to those parents whose children made their First Holy Communion last year (as discussed then) we would appreciate their wonderful support helping prepare / serve at this years First Holy Communion celebration “after party” on 22nd of May. Patria Kerr will be contacting you regarding this.
