Dear
Parents / Caregivers
Nga mihi nui ki a koutou
The
first of June and winter is finally here! Lets hope we
don’t have too many wet days here at school to contend
with as the children do not like being cooped up in the
classroom all day!
Enjoy the long weekend coming up.

"
Friendliness "
Friendliness
is taking an interest in other people, being
warm and courteous.
When you are friendly,
you happily share the things you have.
You share your time, your ideas, your feelings
and yourself.
When you are a friend,
you share the good times and the bad times
together. Friendliness
can be shown in a warm smile, a gentle touch
or a kind word.
We
practise Friendliness
when we: smile
and greet people with courtesy show
interest in others have
the courage to introduce ourselves ask
people about themselves.

Inquiry

On Friday afternoon on June 11 we are inviting parents/caregivers
to each class to find out all about the exciting
work children have been doing for their ‘World
of Wonderful Words” inquiry. This is a great
opportunity for you to share in your child’s
learning. We hope you can make the time to come
along as a lot of work has gone into preparing the
children for this event.
