Dear Parents / Caregivers
Nga mihi nui ki a koutou

I hope you had a great long weekend. I certainly did!
We look forward to seeing you all here this Friday afternoon when you come to see at all the work your child and their class have been doing for their “World Of Wonderful Words” inquiry.
The “Blokes” will also have fun together swimming at the Lido on Friday evening. Hope you’re all coming!

Jacinta Cousins ,   Principal

" Detachment "

Detachment is experiencing your feelings without allowing your feelings to control you.
It is choosing how you will act in a situation rather than just reacting.
With detachment you are free to do only what you choose to do.
Detachment is using thinking and feeling together, so you can make smart choices.

We practise Detachment when we:
take time out before doing something we would be sorry for
look at our feelings before deciding how to act
act instead of react

Inquiry Expo
On Friday afternoon on June 11 from 2.15 - 3p.m. we are inviting parents/caregivers to each class to find out all about the exciting work children have been doing for their “World of Wonderful Words” inquiry. This is a great opportunity for you to share in your child’s learning. We hope you can make the time to come along as you are in for a treat. The wall displays look amazing and the children have lots to show you.

Winter Tournament
Our Year 5/6 children will not be taking part in the WINTER TOURNAMENT. Thank you to the four parents who offered to help.
