Dear
Parents / Caregivers
Nga mihi nui ki a koutou
It
was lovely to see those of you who were able to come along
to see what progress your child has made with their swimming
over the last five weeks. We thank Holly from Freyburg
Swim Magic for the great job she has done helping the
teachers with this. Swimming finishes at the end of this
week. Sadly summer is over!!!!

"
Tact - Whaka-ae-tika"
Tact
is telling the truth kindly, with consideration
for how your words will affect others.
It is knowing what to say and what is better
left unsaid.
When you are tactful, you
don’t tease or point out people’s
differences o embarrass them.
You are careful about others’ feelings.
We
practise tact when we:
think before we speak decide
if it is better to tell the truth or keep
silent keep
critical thoughts to ourselves be
sensitive to others’ feelings tell
the truth kindly and gently
