"
Thankfulness - Whaka-whetai-nga
"
Thankfulness
is being grateful for what you have.
It is an attitude of gratitude for learning,
loving and being.
It is appreciating the little things around
you and within you every day.
It is having a sense of wonder about the beauty
of this world.
It is being aware of the gifts in your life.
.
You
are practicing thankfulness
when you: have
an attitude of gratitude are
receptive to gifts appreciate
your own abilities instead of envying others see
the difficulties of life as opportunities
to learn appreciate
the beauty of this world count
your blessings every day

On
Sunday the pink candle on the Advent wreath was
lit and perhaps we should THINK PINK as St Paul
says to us “Brothers and Sisters: Rejoice
always!. These final days of preparation for the
celebration of Jesus’ birth are sacred.
There is much darkness around us in society and
advent expresses the complexity of the world,
the yearning for the Light.
Remember we are all called by the Lord. Remember
the great things he has done and continues to
do for you. Remember how your goodness and compassion
can bring the light of Christ to others.
School
closes
at 12.30 this Friday following our final assembly
which is held in the hall starting at 12pm.
End
Of Year School Mass
This Thursday, December 15, at 7pm, it is our final
school mass. All students and their families are
expected to attend this mass where we join in thanksgiving
for our school year and where we also celebrate
the graduation of our Year 6 students.
We ask children to be here by 6.45pm. They are to
wear their school uniform. We ask each family to
provide a plate for supper following the mass please.
If you are able to do so, we also ask for families
to donate a christmas food item for the St Vincent
De Paul food basket. This basket is taken up at
the offertory procession during the mass.
End

These will be given to each student to bring home
on Thursday.
